Seventy-two women educators from across Ghana were honoured with citations at the 6th International Women in Education Conference, which also marked the 12th edition of the annual event held at the Edward Akufo-Addo Library in Accra.
Ferdinand Ellis, July 01, 2026| Organised by Out International in partnership with the Adenta Municipal Education Directorate, the conference was held under the theme “Another Level”, bringing together teachers, school leaders, education administrators, and development professionals to celebrate excellence and promote the professional advancement of women in education.
The conference was led by , Ghana’s Best Teacher for 2022, alongside her team at Out International.
Women Educators Receive Surprise Recognition for Outstanding Service
One of the highlights of the conference was a surprise recognition ceremony during which 72 women educators received citations in appreciation of their dedication and contributions to teaching, school leadership, and educational development.
The citations were presented by and members of the organising team.
