GES Releases Perishables Funds for SHS 2 and SHS 3 Students from March to September 2026

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released funds for the procurement of perishable food items for Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) across Ghana.

According to an official circular dated 15 July 2026, the funds cover SHS 2 and SHS 3 students for the period 1 March 2026 to 4 September 2026. GES Directs Schools to Access Released Funds

In the circular signed by Dr. Munawaru Issahaque, Deputy Director-General (Quality and Access) on behalf of the Director-General, Regional Directors of Education have been instructed to notify all Heads of SHSs and SHTSs that the funds have been transferred to their respective school accounts.

The Service said the transfer is specifically intended to support the purchase of perishable food items required for students’ meals during the covered period.
